THE Arvada tavern

PROJECTS: MENU DESIGNS, ILLUSTRATION & CREATIVE

This historic bar in Olde Town Arvada used to be a dive. Then Mike and Lenka turned it into something special. They took back the original name from 1933 and began serving amazing Vintage Craft Cocktails, and opened The Bernard Ballroom upstairs with live music. I took them on to help create effective printed material, such as illustrated cocktail menus and event posters that would help transport their guests all the way back to 1933.

The Arvada Tavern is all about the experience. We enhance that with the newspaper style of the Classics Menu, the conceptual themes and hand drawn illustrations of the rotating Specialties Menu, the vintage look of the Jazz Posters, and the colorful Tiki at the Tavern Menus (see here)

Along with more informative Classics menu, the Tavern also has a rotating Specialties menu. This menu features new adventurous cocktails created by the entire bar staff. We use illustration to guide and entice the guests, and take care that it looks just like the picture when the cocktail arrives.

THE ROULETTE MENU

For this edition of speciality cocktails, each bartender created a cocktail based on a spirit they drew from a hat. We kept the game of chance going by turning the menu into an illustrated roulette board.

THE BERNARD BALLROOM

The Speakeasy upstairs requires you go upstairs through a phonebooth, and serves as a live music venue every weekend.
